Ancillary Specialist - Laundry Attendant
Role
The role of the Ancillary Specialist - Laundry Attendance is to provide quality washing, drying, and clothing and linen cleaning services as needed that support the provision of a client care in a 15-bed residential facility for intellectually and physically disabled residents.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a clean and sanitary workplace.
- Ensure a safe workplace.
- Prepares and separates clothing, shoes, and linens to wash, dry, and/or manually clean up to standards.
- Assistance in distribution of laundry to the designated resident in a 15 bed facility
Tasks
CleaningDaily
- Clean and sanitize laundry tables, machines, and laundry room floors.
- Clean and maintain laundry machine filters and lint traps to ensure the machines runs smoothly.
- Replenish detergents, fabric softeners, and other laundry liquids to adequately support the use of the laundry room.
- Empty all wastebaskets and replace liners in laundry room.
- Cleans the all furniture and surfaces in laundry room.
- Fold or use hangers for clothing and linen items with quality.
- Separate laundry and linens according to client name/bedroom and distribute to the appropriate client/bedroom.
- Sort and place clean laundry in drawers and closets of designated client neatly and with quality.
- Replace soiled linens with clean linens on client beds.
- Other laundry related duties as needed as delegated by Ancillary Director Luz Ramirez
What We Need From You
- You need to be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid ID, Passport, Social Security Card or work permit
- Ability to pass a physical exam (push, pull, lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods).
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Physical condition sufficient to engage in frequent to continuous standing, walking, lifting, carrying objects, assisting with transfers, pushing pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.
- Ability to clear a criminal background check with DOJ/FBI.
- Speak, read and write in English and/or Spanish
