Fundraising and Development Director

The goal of the Fundraising and Development is to maintain the donor relations and donor databases to the highest standard, coordinate staff to execute fundraising and development goals, and provide support to all aspects of Hope House. Hope House, Inc. is ready for a Director that has the drive and motivation to improve what we have while pushing toward the future. As the Fundraising and Development Director you would first be the sole fundraiser and development staff with the goal to build a development department using your knowledge and experience in the field. Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Fundraising and Development Director will spearhead development efforts at Hope House, Inc. Having experience or a connection to persons with developmental disabilities is a plus for this position but not at all required. However, having compassion and a motivation to help others are the qualities we look for in all of our future staff.

Primary Duties

• Develop and execute Hope House’s annual fundraising plan

• Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations

• Manage Hope House’s Network for Good database and process donations while preparing acknowledgement letters

• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors

• Coordinate special events, advertisements and other activities that promote our mission

• Developing and tracking proposals for all foundation and corporate fundraising

• Developing content and communication plans for social media

• Attending meetings, meet-and-greets, and fundraisers within the community

• Regular analysis and reporting of donor support

What We Need From You (Requirements)

• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent prior experience

• Minimum of two (2) years experience in a not-for-profit development office
• Attain covid-19 vaccination and covid booster shot 5 months after 2nd dose

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other related programs

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proficiency in English

• Strong editing and proofreading skills

• Extremely well-organized and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize work

• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive financial information responsibility

• Ability to collaborate and work in a team setting

• Ability to independently and confidently make decisions

• CFRE credential preferred

• Knowledge of WordPress and use of the platform preferred

• Knowledge of Network for Good and use of the platform

• Ability to travel locally
